1. Voice Over Xtra Article by Jennifer Vaughn: I actually read this article and spoke to Steven Lowell of Voice123 about it but kind of filed it in the back of my mind until I saw a reference to it at Peter O’connell’s blog Voxmarketising so yeah its a bit of a convoluted way of remembering but hey this is a good article on voices.com VS. Voice123 and Jennifer’s return on investment from both.

As I sit here with a runny nose (again?!?!) and inflamed sinuses it occurs to me that many of my readers are not familiar with some of my earlier writings that could be extremely beneficial to them.
So what I think must happen is that I make a dedicated page on TVE that lists all the featured articles that I have written in the hopes that the newer (and maybe older) readers can have better access to them:

It’s been a few days since I launched the new-and-improved TVE (Taji’s Voice Emporium) and since then I have tried to promote some of the newer sections on the site.
What I think I have to do is introduce you guys directly to these new sections because there are lots of goodies on the site that very few people seem to have discovered:

The Previous Setup
I registered with a voice over casting site called Voiceover-casting.com
With the free account you get a blog and 5 megabytes of space.
After a few successful posts I bought more storage space and decided to purchase the domain www.voiceemporium.com
Their blog system used a server software called buddypress… a derivative of the popular wordpress system.
In the first few months I taught myself how to use the wordpress system and went online to read a few tutorials as well as got some help from a wordpress developer friend of mine.

Welcome to the first article on my new revamped and revitalized blog Taji’s Voice Emporium. There are a few new features so take a look around and if you get a chance send me an email or leave a comment and tell me what you think of the new layout.
For the first post in the new location I have decided to interview one of the most recognized voices in the English speaking world. You might not necissarily be a big fan yourself but I’m pretty sure that someone in your house was pretty addicted to his voice and in turn his show for a few years.
In fact my 2 year old daughter is watching one of his episodes as I type this. He’s done a duet with Dolly Parton and his current job has taken him all around the globe .
