Updating My Personal Website

Updating My Personal Website

Morning Folks, It's been a year since I launched my personal website (dedicated to my voiceover business) and my old site was kind of Zen... very sparse and with lots of empty space. So I figured I'd treat myself to a nice new site with nice big graphics and a new interface. The whole thing cost me $35 and I bought the theme at themeforest.net. My site is built using wordpress so it's pretty easy to modify... its just finding a theme that suits your needs that takes the longest time. Other than that, and  since I am a designer, the rest of the

Musings & Skype

Today’s post is a combination of different elements.

Working Toward Skype Conferences

First, and let’s get this out of the way. If you have Skype and you would like to chat with Taji (whenever he’s available – because remember I live in Cairo, Egypt) then add the account m.taji with the code TVE in your first comment so I know you are one of my blog readers.

I feel sometimes that  sitting in-front of the computer and writing (in my head talking) to the screen sometimes gets me out of touch with how you guys are feeling and what you might be going through in the industry and I hope to remedy that by having honest-to-God conversations with those in the trenches and on the frontlines.

Note of Caution

I might not always be at the keyboard when my skype is on… I have it running about 8 hours a day and sometimes I need to do things away from the computer. Please take no offense if there is a delay and if you send me a message… be patient… I will answer back. I might not always be available for video chat … but I can usually either text or audio chat during the periods I am online.

Good morning folks,

Today’s post is a collection of basic tutorials and updates on what’s been happening at TVE (that’s Taji’s Voice Emporium).

Voiceover Professionals Directory

If you’ve been following my recent posts. You know that I’ve been working on a new voiceover website. It’s an insanely cheap directory for Voiceover Professionals that is basically a kind of Yellow pages for the voiceover community.

Now I’m still tweaking the site so it’s still technically offline. But here are a few features :

1. You can upload your glamor shot or logo if you have the premium and prestige accounts.

2. You can have a demo or two of yours available in the listing. I will not be storing the demos on my server so technically the demos will be streamed from your site but played through a multimedia interface at the directory.

3. You can submit yourself for multiple categories but you’ll have to pay for each resubmission.
