Today's post was inspired by that first youtube video I posted yesterday for Ms. Amy Walker accent maestro extraordinaire. The woman shifts from accent to accent seamlessly... and although she is able to perform 21 different accents. Some of her accents are much better than others. Apparently Ms. Walker has a website dedicated to teaching people how to speak in different accents... And in our business ' a definite plus to landing more jobs. Personally I wish I could do a light British one (where as on a more personal note I would much prefer knowing how to speak the welsh...

This is a subject that bothers me to no end… the idea of working on a project for whatever amount of time … then get shafted by the client. As much as the internet is a blessing to get you work that a few years back would never have even come your way it is also a curse in that if you don’t cater a little suspicion when it comes to new clients (since we don’t have a database of the bad ones? maybe just the grapevine… mmmm grape leaves… errr) Maybe we should set up a forum board in voiceover-casting.com and list all the bad clients that shafted any and all voice over artists in the past. So we can protect our brethern in the business and stop the heinous act!
