Welcome back to the emporium. Please excuse the lack of posts but I’ve been working on some amazing new posts that should blow you away once they’re done. Today is more of an editorial and will contain a few bits about the voice industry.

First I’d like to welcome the full score of new members that came out of no where (it seems) welcome to the social brotherhood… There will be hazing… we will paint you purple… and quite possibly joke at your expense (so keep those credit cards ready!). I kid I kid!
Now back to my blog post… if you have ever read my posts it wouldn’t come as a surprise to you that I am not a big fan of voices.com and their strange policies. Nor am I very pleased with their PR department. As a Canadian I am proud that they are making waves in the industry but I find that they listen more to their producer clients and ignore their voice over clients… and that… like Indian food… doesn’t sit well with me! Although I didn't get much reaction from our members (thanks alot guys! where's the love?) I did find out through the alchemy of modern google analytics that alot of people were coming to my blog just to read about the plugin tutorial. The next plugin tutorial is for the Multiband Compressor. This is a plugin that I use regularly to boost the gain a little and add a little punch to some of my VOs ... it also has a nice hiss remover that works more on frequances than actual data elimination.
