As you guys might have noticed Voiceover-casting.com is starting to attract alot of the producers and owners of Voice Casting websites. Very recently Steven lowell from Voice123.com joined us and a short while after that Michelle Summers from VOplanet.com did so as well.

It looks like Michelle has been smarter about her membership than the other  Casting site producers and has read through the Voice over Talent forums where we’ve been bitching about one thing or another… one thing has stood out  the SmartCast….not so smart system that Voice123 is using … here is a post from Rich Brennan: Read More

Mongolian Throat Singing

As you know I scour the interweb looking for amazing things to showcase in my emporium.  As people who’s bread and butter (possibly jam) is made from using your voice to explain and entertain. I bring you yet another wonder of human achievement. Throat Singing.

here is an excerpt from the wiki:

“Overtone singing, also known as throat singing, overtone chanting, or harmonic singing, is a type of singing in which the singer manipulates the resonances (or formants) created as air travels from the lungs, past the vocal folds, and out the lips to produce a melody.

Throat singing is both a generic and a specific term. Generally, the term is applied to any singing style which entails the application of a harsh voice or some other constriction, although it is sometimes incorrectly applied to unconstricted overtone singing. Specifically, the term refers to a type of Central Asian and Siberian overtone singing.” Read More

We did a previous post on this blog a few days back about beatboxing… the art of immitating a drum-machine amongst other things… this time we celebrate the art of immitating other people…enjoy Read More

Voice123.com Wants To Turn My Account In-Active!

Actually that was a bit sensationalist of me. I just got an email from them telling me if I dont log onto my account on their system that I would be marked as inactive because I havent visited my page in 30 days… Actualy I havent visited my page in like 3 months but hey! who’s counting. Geez how much more active can I be though! I post almost twice a day on my blog. Granted I am a free subscriber to their service and dont pay anything… but so far since I joined… I have received 1 …. that’s right folks … 1 request for submitting a quote. That’s why I don’t visit… I don’t know how many people visit the voice123.com profile site of mine (that’s a paid service) so I cant judge if paying to join them is worth the money / effort.
